Kaizer Chiefs have added another young talent to their squad after completing the signing of winger Langelihle Phili from Stellenbosch FC.
The 21-year-old joins Amakhosi following an impressive 2025/26 campaign, during which he emerged as Stellenbosch’s leading scorer with nine goals. He also swept the club’s top individual honours after being named both Player of the Season and Players’ Player of the Season.
The Durban-born attacker heads to Naturena with experience at both domestic and continental level. Last season, he made 39 appearances across the Premier Soccer League and the CAF Confederation Cup.
Chiefs’ technical team believes that experience will be valuable as the club prepares for a busy campaign that could see the Soweto giants play more than 50 matches in domestic and continental competitions.
Phili has also continued to progress on the international stage. He was part of the South African Under 20 team that won the Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco last year.

His performances have also earned him a place in the South African Under 23 squad. The team is preparing for the 2027 Under 23 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers, with qualification for the 2028 Olympic Games in Los Angeles at stake.
The signing adds another promising young player to the Chiefs squad as the club continues its preparations for the new season. At 21, Phili arrives with top-flight experience, continental exposure and a growing reputation as one of the country’s brightest attacking prospects.
