Molemo Katleho Maarohanye, known as Jub Jub, did not appear in the Germiston Magistrates’ Court today.
The court heard that he had been booked off sick since 20 August.
A procedural warrant of arrest was issued following his absence. It will be held over until his next appearance on 7 September 2026.
The case relates to an alleged confrontation with an e-hailing driver in Edenvale on 14 June.
Maarohanye faces charges of discharging a firearm in a public place and pointing an object likely to make someone believe it was a firearm. He remains out on R5,000 bail.
Police allege that the confrontation followed the driver dropping a woman at a residence. They allege Maarohanye accused the driver of having a relationship with his girlfriend.
The driver was allegedly forced into a vehicle during the confrontation and later escaped unharmed.
Maarohanye has previously denied the allegations.
