Orlando Pirates have secured the return of Bheki Mabuza after agreeing to a permanent transfer with Marumo Gallants for the 23-year-old winger.

Mabuza spent the 2025/26 season with Gallants, making 32 appearances across all competitions. He scored three goals and provided one assist during his campaign.

The winger joined Gallants from Leruma United at the start of the 2025/26 season after previously being part of the Orlando Pirates academy.

His performances at Gallants have now earned him a return to the Buccaneers, with Pirates backing him to continue his development at the club.

Mabuza had already featured for Gallants in the opening weeks of the 2026/27 season before completing his move back to Pirates.

The transfer agreement also includes two players moving in the opposite direction.

Daniel Msendami and Abdoulaye Mariko will join Gallants on season-long loan deals for the 2026/27 campaign.

Mabuza’s move is permanent, while Msendami and Mariko will spend the season with Gallants as part of the agreement between the two clubs.

The move gives Mabuza another opportunity to make his mark at Pirates after impressing during his time with Gallants.
