The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has unanimously endorsed FIFA President Gianni Infantino for re-election, backing his bid for another term that will run from 2027 to 2031.
The decision was reached during a meeting of all 54 CAF member associations held in Vancouver yesterday, ahead of the 76th FIFA Congress.
CAF President Dr Patrice Motsepe chaired the gathering, where football leaders from across the continent engaged on governance matters and the future direction of global football administration.
Following discussions, all member associations aligned behind Infantino, signalling a united continental position ahead of the FIFA presidential election process.
The endorsement reflects continued close relations between FIFA leadership and African football structures, with development programmes across the continent forming part of ongoing cooperation in recent years.
