Say Sorry or Go to Jail

Life is what it is, and sometimes it puts you in a spot where you simply have to do what you should to pay for your mistakes, finish and klaar.

Right now, Musa Khawula’s “menu” is very limited: say sorry or go sit in jail. No starters, no desserts, no wine pairing.

And this is not some glossy lifestyle dilemma where you are choosing between Paris or Italy and pretending both are equally life changing. No. This one comes with handcuffs, cold cells, and food that is not exactly five star approved.

The Gauteng High Court found him guilty of contempt of court.

The case stems from posts Khawula made in February about EFF leader Julius Malema and his wife, Mantoa Matlala Malema. He suggested marital drama, alleged infidelity, and implied their 11 year marriage was falling apart.

The court said remove the posts and retract them. Clear instruction. No confusion. No debate.

He did not comply.

Instead, the content stayed up and more posts followed, including a Beyoncé “Sorry” reference, which the court clearly did not interpret as legal compliance or a sincere apology strategy.

Now there is a 30 day direct imprisonment sentence hanging over him for contempt of court. Suspended for a limited period, meaning there is still time to fix it before things get very real.

So it really boils down to this. Comply, or the sentence kicks in.

At the end of the day, Musa will decide for himself. But unlike choosing between Paris and Italy, this is not about aesthetics or vibes. It is about whether you are posting or packing.
